DYLAN CHAVEZ

Principal, AIA

Dylan enjoys utilizing his unique background and experiences in various disciplines to help provide tangible and knowledge based solution to projects to help ensure their viability.

Dylan received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 2004. After graduation from MIT, Dylan worked as a consulting engineer involved in the fire and explosion investigation. His work involved analysis; onsite event investigation; and design and fabrication of experimental testing equipment and protocols.

After leaving his engineering position, Dylan attended the University of Oregon where he graduated with a Master of Architecture in 2009.  While at the University of Oregon, Dylan held a Graduate Research Fellowship position with the Energy Studies in Buildings Laboratory, under Professor G.Z. Brown, and was involved in providing sustainability design consulting services and analysis on architectural projects ranging in scale from campus master plan to residential design. 

Dylan joined CBTWO in 2012 and has been involved with multiple senior living, multi-family, adaptive re-use and civic projects including in the Award-winning Gerry Frank Salem Rotary Amphitheater project.

Originally from New Mexico, Dylan has lived in the Salem downtown core since 2012 with his family.  He is a former Salem AIA President and currently a member of the Rotary Club of Salem. 

Dylan is a registered Architect in Oregon.
